- Laura Krasinski
- I was 53 in June. I feel like I'm 30. I live in Cold Cold Wisconsin. But, I love it here.. I found fabric and quilting about 8 years ago.. I fell in love with it.. I also enjoy paper art.. I'm not sure how I kept my sanity before I started doing art. I found rubber stamps about 10 years ago and have gone on to anything and everything.. I have been blessed with creative talents and love to express myself in art. I have 2 children .. one girl who is 15 and a boy who is 17. My husband and I love to hunt, canoe and just enjoy the outdoors together.. We all love the outdoors and go up to northern Wisconsin as often as possible. I'm a 14 year breast cancer survivor.. you can view more of my art at http://laurakrasinskiquilts.blogspot.com www.picturetrail.com/barngirl or my teaching, lecture and vending schedule here http://laurakrasinskisartontherun.blogspot.com

I worked on ATCs and 4x4 pages today for a swap. The 4x4's theme is Green and Gold. And the ATC's theme is "Thank heaven for little girls". It felt good to get back down into my art room after having bronchitus last week and having to work this week.

This is a page I did in a deco. I used tissue paper and encaustic wax, rubber stamped and added embellishments. Very Fun!! If I had to name this page I would call it "what's in a name" because the backround paper has names of women on it which I ripped out of an old book.. Kind of cool... And Eva was the name that was under the Eva I put there...

This has been one heck of a week. My husband had bronchitus, my son got in trouble at school and now I'm sick with a terrible head cold. My daughter however continues to get A's in school and is trying to hold us all together. If you read this post please keep us in your prayers. My son especially. He is just going through alot right now and having alot of struggles. I know this is just a detour in a road that has so much happiness. THanks to all of you for your support... family and friends...
My yahoo group is doing an Easter Egg Mini quilty exchange. This is the quilty I made.. Back and front. Easter means much more to me than rabbits and easter eggs. We celebrate the risen Savior who died for our sins so that we may be saved. So I needed to put alittle something on the quilty. I added a small cross behind my little Easter bonneted gal. Also I signed the back and posted some words that tell alittle about Easter and what it means to me.
