- I was 53 in June. I feel like I'm 30. I live in Cold Cold Wisconsin. But, I love it here.. I found fabric and quilting about 8 years ago.. I fell in love with it.. I also enjoy paper art.. I'm not sure how I kept my sanity before I started doing art. I found rubber stamps about 10 years ago and have gone on to anything and everything.. I have been blessed with creative talents and love to express myself in art. I have 2 children .. one girl who is 15 and a boy who is 17. My husband and I love to hunt, canoe and just enjoy the outdoors together.. We all love the outdoors and go up to northern Wisconsin as often as possible. I'm a 14 year breast cancer survivor.. you can view more of my art at http://laurakrasinskiquilts.blogspot.com www.picturetrail.com/barngirl or my teaching, lecture and vending schedule here http://laurakrasinskisartontherun.blogspot.com

I'm so happy my Complete Serenity quilt was accepted to travel with one of the sets of quilts for the Hoffman Challenge.. and I am sooo lucky that I am planning on going to the Mancuso show in Illinois and it just so happens that that is one of the stops for my quilt... I am soooo happy... Now I can't wait to see what the next fabric looks like for 2009. To see the quilt scroll down the page a bit..

I finished my quilt for the With One Voice show. I dedicated it to my veterinarian Betsy Miller. She is an incredible women who has dedicated her life to animals. I am also showing you the back of the quilt because the thread painting turned out so neat...

I am donating this piece of art along with the pin that is further down my blog in a post to ART NOW FOR AUTISM... they want us to put a price on it... and I haven't a clue... it is 6x8... The exhibit will be in October. Go here for more information....
I had done some rusting about a month ago with pretty good results.. the first photo I tried rusting satin.. and it turned out pretty cool.. All the others were on cotton.. and one I did some stamping on.. The black piece I used cheesecloth and a spray bottle with bleach in it.. I love how it looks Zebra striped.
I went to an art show this morning and found this great artist.. I bought one of his prints.. This matches my livingroom color wise perfect.. although my livingroom is southwest.. and this is egyptian I still had to have it.. Well, and you know how much I Love CATS....
